Archdiocese of Wellington hosts Post-WYD event

It would have been wrong to be inside on a day like this.

We’d been craving the sun and it didn’t disappoint us as we gathered at St Bernard’s College, Lower Hutt from around the Wellington region to remember our experiences of the last two years of WYD journey.  The day was a stunner, so we moved outside to make the most of it.  Josie Leota – our fabulous Kiwi Ambassador – helped us to get into the spirit of it all and to fill the warm afternoon with creative, supportive and noisy cheers and the winning team got the thumbs up all the way from Wainuiomata!  It was great to hear from others (including Archbishop John) and to share our own stories of how this journey has changed our lives.  But it wasn’t just about looking back, we also got to think about what it means for us now (whether we pilgrimaged to Sydney or not) to witness through and in our lives – something we need to keep considering and rediscovering everyday!
